A Walk In The Shallow Snow

We woke up this morning to an inch or two of Snow. To me, it was “LOOK IT SNOWED!”  To North Idaho residence, I am sure they felt like nothing at all had happened.

Once the sun came out, a walk was irresistible!

Across the street is a path in the woods.   I was walking down a trail that appeared to me, like I was traveling where only Elk had gone before.  (These could be the hoof prints of a large white tail buck instead of an elk.  I’m not a tracker, but they are much larger than the ones in our yard!)

I am so grateful for each day of my life.   Everywhere I look it is magical, not just today because it snowed, but each day leads me to someplace new.  Maybe I love where I am, or maybe I wish the day was going easier on me.  There are also times, when I feel like I am doing the same thing that I did yesterday.   That of course is not the case today!

I came across this tree, that blocked my path.   I could have chosen to turn back, but I chose to find my way around the tree and found myself someplace I would have never gone if the path had been easy.  And I might have even missed seeing the horse!
