A Walk In The Shallow Snow

We woke up this morning to an inch or two of Snow. To me, it was “LOOK IT SNOWED!”  To North Idaho residence, I am sure they felt like nothing at all had happened.

Once the sun came out, a walk was irresistible!

Across the street is a path in the woods.   I was walking down a trail that appeared to me, like I was traveling where only Elk had gone before.  (These could be the hoof prints of a large white tail buck instead of an elk.  I’m not a tracker, but they are much larger than the ones in our yard!)

I am so grateful for each day of my life.   Everywhere I look it is magical, not just today because it snowed, but each day leads me to someplace new.  Maybe I love where I am, or maybe I wish the day was going easier on me.  There are also times, when I feel like I am doing the same thing that I did yesterday.   That of course is not the case today!

I came across this tree, that blocked my path.   I could have chosen to turn back, but I chose to find my way around the tree and found myself someplace I would have never gone if the path had been easy.  And I might have even missed seeing the horse!

I am your average everyday mother of 3 with now 3 grandkids. I am also a singer/songwriter performing in country clubs and dinner houses. But behind all of this, there is the ability to listen deeper into my own thoughts and hear where the good ideas are actually coming from. It's the same place that I came from... God
